Founder – Magi Yang
Magi Yang is the owner of Rebel Fencing Club and an attorney—but first and foremost, she’s a mom of two: a 12-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. Like so many parents, she’s deeply passionate about her kids and their growth.
Rebel Fencing Club was born out of that passion. Magi envisioned a space where her children—and others—could learn fencing in a safe, welcoming environment that also takes their development seriously. Her mission is simple: create a place where kids can thrive, build confidence, and truly get better at fencing while having fun along the way.
Our Mission
Rebel Fencing Club was founded in early 2025 when we realized our own kids weren’t getting the attention they needed at their previous club. Too often, young athletes are left on autopilot—just filling time instead of truly improving. We envisioned something different: a place where each child gets the coaching and support they deserve.
More than just a fencing club, Rebel is a community. We believe in knowing each fencer by name, building friendships, and having fun while working hard. Our mission is to help kids get better—not just at fencing, but at confidence, focus, and enjoying the journey.
And that’s how Rebel Fencing Club was born.

We’re not just another fencing club—we’re a community built around discipline, character, and growth. At Rebel Fencing Club, fencing is the vehicle, but our true goal is to instill confidence, integrity, and purpose in every athlete we train.
We believe in creating a high-value, high-integrity environment where effort matters, standards are high, and every student is known and supported. Being a small and focused club allows us to be selective—with our coaches, our families, and the culture we build together.
